How do I confirm my HSA account connection via microdeposit? 

After you submit your HSA information for linking, we submit microdeposits, or test contributions, into your HSA. Once the test deposit shows in your HSA, enter the exact amount via your dashboard > Linking Your Health Savings Account to confirm the connection between MaxHSA and your HSA. 

First, enter your HSA account and routing number to initiate the connection. 

Once we receive your request to link your HSA to your MaxHSA account, we include your information in our next file submission, which we send every business day at 2 PM ET. This process results in a small contribution, called a microdeposit, deposited into your HSA.

You should see the deposit within 1-2 business days. Please log onto your HSA portal to view the amount of the deposit. If it is not visible, please contact your HSA administrator for assistance, as administrators display this deposit differently. When you know the amount of the microdeposit, simply log into your MaxHSA app, navigate to your Wallet tab, and click on Linked Health Savings Account.

Enter the correct amount of the microdeposit, and your HSA will be linked and ready to receive the first transfer from MaxHSA!

Here are the steps: 

  1. We drop a tiny test deposit (a microdeposit) into your HSA. This goes out in our daily file each weekday at 2 PM ET—and you should see it in your HSA within 1–2 business days.
  2. Once it shows up in your HSA, make note of the exact amount.
  3. Log in to MaxHSA → Wallet tab → Linked Health Savings Account.
  4. Enter the microdeposit amount to confirm the connection. Your HSA will be officially linked and ready to receive transfers!
