What fees does MaxHSA charge?
MaxHSA charges a fee only when we send your accumulated Roundups, Cashback Rewards, and Referral Rewards to your HSA administrator to deposit into your HSA. We transfer your MaxHSA balance to our HSA on the 25th day of the month if you have accumulated at least $50 that month. The fee is $5 per transfer. For complete fee information, check out the Fee Schedule in our Terms and Conditions.
Even though fees are charged whenever we transfer your accumulated MaxHSA balance, keep in mind that most MaxHSA participants save between 22% and 28% in taxes when they make tax-deductible contributions to their HSA. If you earn $60, you’ll typically save between $13 and $17 in taxes, depending on whether you are in the 12% or 22% (or higher) federal tax bracket and whether your state imposes an income tax. These tax savings more than cover your MaxHSA fees.
Remember, you can offset some of your fees through Referral Rewards. Please see the following article for more information: How does your referral program work?
